How will climate change affect how we build in the future?

Welcome to a curator´s talk at Bildmuseet in connection with the exhibition Architectures of Transition which is currently on display with us. Language English.

Pedro Gadanho, Loeb fellow at Harvard and former director of MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology in Lisbon and former curator of contemporary architecture at MoMA, New York.

His current book Climate Change! explores how climate change will affect architecture both in terms of design philosophy and the possibilities for innovative changes in the aesthetic, ethical and professional aspects of architecture.

ARCHITECTURES OF TRANSITION
The exhibition Architectures of Transition presents Nordic architects and projects that, in various ways, represent a shift in contemporary architecture. What does society’s increasing demands for climate action mean for architecture, and what are the practical and esthetically impacts arising from this demand? How can architecture contribute to a society in transition to a new ecological paradigm?
