Museum curator Brita Täljedal gives a guided tour in the Ann Edholm / Tongue on the Tip exhibition, currently on show on the fourth and sixth floor of Bildmuseet. Language: Swedish.
Swedish artist Ann Edholm wants her large paintings to be experienced as an encounter with a human being, direct and physical. Despite their sharply defined geometric shapes, Edholm's imagery is based on human experience and contains cultural and symbolic references. The paintings include interpretations of art history and medieval stories, of Jewish deportations during the Nazi reign, as well as growing up in the aftermath of a war.
