In our time, we have become accustomed to rapid streams of images, and this might also affect how we experience art. But what happens if we look closely and give the artworks time? On Saturday, 13th April – Slow Art Day – Bildmuseet highlights the slow art experience, in collaboration with art museums and galleries around the world. At the same time, we seize the opportunity to highlight the importance of guided tours. Welcome to slow art experiences for both adults and children!
In all tours on this day, we use the slow art method. It offers a chance to approach the artworks in a somewhat different manner. The tours focus on a few selected artworks, particularly on the hypnotically suggestive exhibition Elias Crespin / Chronomorphosis.
