On the occasion of the ongoing exhibition The TV Trampoline / From Children’s Television to Contemporary Art and Literature, an exclusive screening of all 10 episodes is given at Bildmuseet. Lost in the Pancake is a form of puppet show. The expression is characterized by surrealism, something that is characteristic of Staffan Westerberg's work. Westerberg scriptwriter and director of the show, also plays the lead role. The TV-show is considered a classic, but has not only been praised. It has also received criticism over the years, even being accused of ruining an entire generation's childhood. Regardless of polarized reviews, Lost in the Pancake is almost cult-like.
This event is a collaboration between the Umeå European Film Festival and Bildmuseet, Umeå University.
